Another case of fuel theft was discovered last Thursday, April 17, near the Pemex plant in Oaxaca. The illegal tap was located and secured about 300 meters from the company's facilities.
According to local authorities, this illegal operation was active and connected to the distribution network of the oil company. In this regard, Pemex's security spokesperson stated: "We are working together with the authorities to investigate this incident and prevent future fuel thefts in the area."
The discovery of this illegal tap is part of ongoing efforts to combat fuel theft in the country. Despite the efforts of the authorities, this crime continues to pose a serious problem for both Pemex and the national economy.
